A sheet that fills itself from your novel

In SagaScope, the character bible is built from the manuscript and stays current as you rewrite: no more sheets drifting from the text.

Using a character sheet well

A sheet doesn't need to be complete to be useful. Start with what drives the plot: what the character wants, what stands in the way, what they believe that isn't true. Looks and backstory come later.

The real risk in a long novel is the sheet and the manuscript drifting apart: a detail changes in chapter 18 and the sheet doesn't follow. That's exactly what SagaScope automates, building the character bible from your text.

Common questions

What goes in a novel character sheet?
The essentials: identity, goal, deeper motivation, wound or flaw, false belief, arc (what changes), key relationships, voice (how they talk) and a few memorable physical details. Our templates list these in the order they help the writing.
Should I fill in the sheet before writing?
Not necessarily. Plotters fill it in upfront; pantsers complete it as they write. Either way, what matters is that it stays consistent with the manuscript.

And for the whole novel's consistency?

SagaScope builds your story bible from your text and alerts you when a detail contradicts itself. Join the waitlist.
